Russian Meteor Hits Arizona

June 26, 2013 by Jeffrey Willerth

On February 15 an enormous meteorite event over Russia, the biggest in more than 60 years. This is the first time in recorded history that humans were hurt by a meteorite strike.

Geoff Notkin from Science Channel’s “Meteorite Men” tells Slice’s Michael R. Mennenga how he came into possession of an exquisite fragment from this amazing galactic rock and makes it available for public display in the Challenger Space Center in Glendale, Arizona.
